Amlodipine is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain. It belongs to a class of drugs called calcium channel blockers. One of the most common side effects of amlodipine is increased urination. This occurs because amlodipine relaxes the smooth muscle in the walls of blood vessels, which can lead to an increase in urine production.
