Losartan is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), as well as congestive heart failure, and can help prevent kidney problems in people with diabetes. Losartan works by relaxing the blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood.

The most common side effects include headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and feeling lightheaded.

Losartan relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure which improves blood flow. Losartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduction of stroke risk in heart disease.

Losartan can help protect the kidneys from further damage by reducing the amount of work they have to do.

You should try to avoid alcohol, or always practice moderation while taking losartan as it can increase your blood pressure and increase side effects like dizziness or lightheadedness.
